1. Acceptance

By creating an account on Sakhi Italia, you enter into a binding agreement with Sakhi Italia and agree to these Terms of Service together with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility & Age (18+)

Sakhi Italia is a community space for women in Italy. By creating an account you confirm that:

You are at least 18 years old.
You self-identify as a woman.
You are legally able to enter into a contract under the law of your country of residence.

Accounts found to belong to minors, or to violate the eligibility rules, will be suspended or permanently removed.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
You must provide accurate, up-to-date information when registering.
You may not create multiple accounts or impersonate another person.
You are solely responsible for all activity carried out under your account.

4. Content & Community Guidelines

No harassment, hate speech, or discrimination.
No spam, scams, or fraudulent listings.
No illegal services, items, or activities.
No sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content.
Respect other users' privacy — do not share personal data without consent.

You retain ownership of the content you publish, and grant Sakhi Italia a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and transmit that content for the purpose of operating the platform.

5. Marketplace Disclaimer (IMPORTANT)

Sakhi Italia is a neutral platform that connects users. We are nota party to any agreement, transaction, or service that you arrange with another user. Specifically:

We do not employ or supervise providers, do not verify professional qualifications, and do not perform background checks.
We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or fitness for purpose of any service or item listed.
All bookings, payments off-platform, in-person meetings, and exchanges of items happen at your own risk.
We strongly recommend meeting in safe public locations, agreeing on terms in writing, and reporting any abuse via our in-app reporting tools.

6. Subscription & Payments

The platform is free to join. Free accounts can initiate up to 5 contacts with providers and use core community features.
To unlock unlimited messaging and full marketplace access, users may subscribe at €10/month.
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. Sakhi Italia does not store full card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from Profile > Settings; access remains active until the end of the paid period.
Right of withdrawal under Italian Consumer Code (Codice del Consumo, Art. 52 et seq.): by activating a subscription you expressly request immediate access to digital services and acknowledge that, once digital service delivery has begun, you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal for the portion already used.
Why we charge: subscription revenue covers EU hosting (Supabase, Frankfurt), Stripe fees, moderation and trust & safety, anti-spam systems, and ongoing platform development.

7. Moderation & Enforcement

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, to remove content, restrict features, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that we believe violate these Terms. Users can report violations from any profile, listing, or message. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

Sakhi Italia is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement).
We are not liable for the conduct of other users, the content they publish, the quality or safety of services or items they offer, or any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or interactions with other users.
We are not liable for losses caused by force majeure, third-party providers (Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Vercel) outages, or unauthorised access to your account due to your own credential compromise.
Where liability cannot be excluded under mandatory law (including liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or for damage to life or health), our total aggregate liability over any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us during that period, or €50, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights under Italian or EU law that cannot be lawfully waived.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Sakhi Italia, its operators, and its sub-processors harmless from any third-party claim or demand arising out of your content, your use of the platform, your transactions with other users, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile > Settings. We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without notice, for any breach of these Terms or for conduct that we determine, in our reasonable discretion, harms other users or the platform.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the platform or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought exclusively before the competent courts of Italy, except where mandatory consumer law grants the consumer the right to bring a claim in their place of residence.
